Basketball Recap: Plaza Heights Christian Academy Beats Clinton Christian Academy for Their Third Straight Victory

Plaza Heights Christian Academy had won two straight games and Luke Jones did his part to make it three on Tuesday. Plaza Heights Christian Academy secured a 47-41 W over the Clinton Christian Academy Patriots thanks in part to Jones, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played dating back to last season.

Despite the defeat, Clinton Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Raymond Hood dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Hood also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Clinton Christian Academy is 5-1 when he posts at least three steals, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Parker Lowe, who posted 11 points.

Plaza Heights Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Clinton Christian Academy, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.
