Michael Baur and Darik Johnson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Dallas. The connection was good for 51 yards, the longest such play in Wyoming Valley 1 this season.
Williamsport moved up to 420 from 485 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Millionaires were able to make move up by defeating Central Mountain 24-21.
Baur put up the best numbers through the air as Wyoming Valley West defeated the Mountaineers. He finished with 8 completions for 185 yards. Baur's favorite target this week was JerMichael Bunch, who caught 4 passes for 84 yards.
Isaac Foust was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 186 yards on 30 carries as Williamsport lost to Scranton. Jerah Reeves also contributed to the rushing game with 10 yards on the ground.
Ochs was the best receiver in Wyoming Valley 1 this week as the Cougars fell to the Knights. Ochs racked up 7 receptions for 100 yards. Gavin Kopczynskie helped Hazleton's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 47 yards.
Hazleton's Julius Ward and Ochs have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Ward has thrown for 187 yards this season, while Ochs, a 5-foot-7 receiver, has 7 catches for 100 yards. Foust from Kevin Choate's team leads the league in rushing with 186 yards.
An important game coming up this the league this week will be when James M. Coughlin takes on Jim Drumheller's team. As it stands, the Crusaders are in third, while the Cougars are in seventh.
Berwick was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in the league. The Bulldogs beat Crestwood 41-7 earlier in the week.
