Beckham Smith turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two walks surrendered on Saturday. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Bonneville back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Smith is becoming a predictor of Viewmont's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 12-1 (and 6-8 when he doesn't).

Smith's strong effort led Viewmont over Bonneville and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
