LeFlore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. Even if they lost, LeFlore's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.
UMS-Wright Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Max Fowler, who threw for 180 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. The dominant performance also gave Fowler a new career-high in passer rating (123.3). Another player making a difference was Richard Scott, who gained 133 total yards and a touchdown.
LeFlore's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for UMS-Wright Prep, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
