Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Mission Hills

After losing to Mira Mesa the last time they met, Mission Hills decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mission Hills Grizzlies walked away with a 55-45 win over the Mira Mesa Marauders on Monday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Grizzlies' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Marauders are ranked 57th).

The win (which was Mission Hills' fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6. As for Mira Mesa, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 13 games and leaves them with a 13-1 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission Hills will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Vista at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Mira Mesa, they will square off against San Pasqual at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
