District 10 Region 6 AAA recap Oct. 23, 2012
Cathedral Prep extended the longest winning streak in District 10 Region 6 AAA this week by beating Central Tech, 61-19. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
General McLane and Strong Vincent played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with General McLane eventually emerging with a 24-20 victory. Aidan Graham threw for 37 yards and one touchdown and ran for 69 yards in the win.
Cathedral Prep's Damion Terry and Brendan Klemensic have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Terry has thrown for 1872 yards this season, while Klemensic, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 26 catches for 532 yards. McDowell's James Conner leads the league in rushing yards with 904.
Entering into this week's contest against East, Terry is short just 128 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
Conner of the the Trojans is only 96 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in District 10 Region 6 AAA this week will be when the Ramblers take on the Warriors. Cathedral Prep is in first place, while East is in sixth place.
McDowell took down Leonard Ford's team 66-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
