Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bell County). Everything went their way against the Middlesboro Yellowjackets on Monday as they made off with a 16-1 win. The victory was nothing new for the Bobcats as they're now sitting on six straight.
Blake Burnett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Bell County is undefeated when Burnett posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brayden Carroll, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Fuson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
