Even though the Plainfield Central Wildcats scored an imposing 57 points on Thursday, the Plainfield South Cougars still came out on top. Plainfield South strolled past Plainfield Central with points to spare, taking the game 75-57. Winning may never get old, but Plainfield South sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Plainfield South's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Demi Page led the charge by scoring 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Destynia Mcgruder, who scored 16 points.
Plainfield South now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Plainfield Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plainfield South will challenge Glenbard East at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Glenbard East will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Plainfield Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Joliet West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
