It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Lake Placid Dragons can now relate to. They lost to the Bulldogs on the road by a decisive 49-32 margin on Wednesday. Lake Placid's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DeSoto County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keyara Montinat, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Montinat hasn't dropped below three steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Janeris Bing, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Lake Placid's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for DeSoto County, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.
Lake Placid does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for DeSoto County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-29 loss vs. Booker on the 9th.
