Given Trinity Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while Covenant Academy is ranked 557th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Trinity Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden Clay, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Will George, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Trinity Christian now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Covenant Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian and Windsor Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Windsor Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Covenant Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Central Fellowship Christian Academy is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
