Seton Catholic gave Drew Campagna the start and clearly made the right call: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. What's more, Campagna posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025.
At the plate, Nathan Mulligan was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Donovan, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Seton Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Dobson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 12-8 to Maricopa. On the bright side, the eight- run effort marked the Mustangs' highest-scoring contest to date.
Brody Dobson was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Owen Murray was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Dobson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Seton Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Seton Catholic's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Sentinels have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Dobson, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Seton Catholic continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Seton Catholic's way against Dobson in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, as Seton Catholic made off with a 22-6 victory. Will the Sentinels repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
