Towner-Granville-Upham extended the longest winning streak in 9-Man Region 3 (9 Man) this week by beating Four Winds/Warwick, 61-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Titans.
Towner-Granville-Upham took down Four Winds/Warwick 61-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ethan Bachmeier ran for 110 yards in the win.
North Star/Starkweather's dynamic duo of Jacob Hagler and Christian Kvilvang proved tough for Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hagler threw for 230 yards and five touchdowns and Kvilvang had 97 yards receiving. Daniel Grande helped North Star/Starkweather's passing attack out by catching two balls for 78 yards.
The Bearcats' Hagler and Grande have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hagler has thrown for 1824 yards this season, while Grande, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 40 catches for 820 yards. Drake/Anamoose's Darin McClintock leads the league in rushing yards with 1470.
Going into this week's game against Shiloh Christian, North Star/Starkweather's Hagler needs 176 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
Scott Thorson's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 61 points on Mark Bishop's team. Bachmeier in the win.
