Troup is a perfect 5-0 against Gladewater since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Bears at 6:00 p.m. Troup has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 24.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Troup lost 14-4 to Arp. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
Troup saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gladewater, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against West Rusk on Friday as they made off with an 11-1 victory.
Tinsley Aldredge made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Janiah Strickland, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Lilia Sanchez, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Gladewater is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Troup, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
Everything went Troup's way against Gladewater in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Troup made off with a 13-1 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
