The Mountain Ridge Sentinels will head out on the road to face off against the Copper Hills Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Mountain Ridge is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Bingham, who was ranked 12th at the time (Mountain Ridge was ranked sixth). Mountain Ridge fell 3-1 to Bingham on Thursday. The matchup marked the Sentinels' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
While Mountain Ridge ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 17-25, 25-19.

Mountain Ridge might have lost, but man, Xander Colemere was a machine: he had 21 digs and three assists. Colemere has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times he's played.
Meanwhile, Copper Hills waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Grizzlies have posted since March 26, 2024.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Copper Hills who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 17-25, 25-21, 12-25, 15-12.
Mountain Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Copper Hills, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4.
