University Christian's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reece Morin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Haan, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Salem Baptist Christian's loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-15. As for University Christian, their win ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-7.
Salem Baptist Christian will square off against Statesville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Statesville Christian is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for University Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hickory Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m.
