The Southeast Lauderdale Tigers lost against the Kemper County Wildcats back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Southeast Lauderdale was outmatched by Kemper County on the road and fell 52-12. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Southeast Lauderdale in their matchups with Kemper County: they've now lost five in a row.
It was another big night for Kendetryon Backstrom, who threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes. Kemper County also got a significant boost from Ashton Hickman, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.
Southeast Lauderdale's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Kemper County, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Southeast Lauderdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kemper County will look to defend their home field on November 3rd against Franklin County at 7:00 p.m.
