The Kern Valley Broncs suffered their biggest defeat since November 18, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 57-35 loss at the hands of Summit Charter Collegiate Academy.
Kern Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zack Wargo, who scored nine points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Kyle Denys, who scored four points along with four steals.
Kern Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
Kern Valley will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rosamond at 7:30 p.m. Averaging 59.8 so far this season, Rosamond's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Kern Valley better be ready for a challenge. Summit Charter Collegiate Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Woodlake at 6:30 p.m. on January 10th. Woodlake is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
