The Grove Christian School Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season. They breezed by Yeshiva of Virginia on the road to the tune of 76-34. The victory was just what Grove Christian School needed coming off of a 82-30 loss in their prior matchup.
Owen Collawn was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 18 rebounds. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jacob Garrison was another key contributor, almost dropping a triple-double on 17 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists.
Grove Christian School's win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6. As for Yeshiva of Virginia, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grove Christian School will take on Stuart Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Yeshiva of Virginia, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Farmville Homeschool at 7:15 p.m. on January 15th.
