The Beatrice Orangemen will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wahoo Warriors at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Beatrice unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Norris.
Meanwhile, Wahoo came up short against the Cardinals on Thursday and fell 49-42.
Wahoo's loss came about despite a quality game from Gretchen Seagren, who scored 15 points along with four blocks and two steals. It was the first time this season that Seagren scored 15 or more points. Sidney Smart was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Beatrice's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-2. As for Wahoo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
Beatrice didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Warriors in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win. Does Beatrice have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
