While Clairemont's victory against Hoover wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chieftains had just enough and edged out the Cardinals 1-0. The Chieftains haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Clairemont's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Hoover, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Clairemont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Vista on the 30th. As for Hoover, they will square off against El Cajon Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
