Make it eight blowout wins for the Vance Charter Knights this season. They claimed a resounding 54-8 win over Wake Prep Academy at home. 54 seems to be a good number for Vance Charter as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Vance Charter found their leader in underclassman Alyssa Bullock, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Bullock is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caelyn Bunn, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Vance Charter pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Wake Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
Vance Charter won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Oxford Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Oxford Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 486th, while Vance Charter is ranked 189th). As for Wake Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Wayne Preparatory Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
