Baseball Recap: Jennings County Has No Trouble Against Beech Grove

While Jennings County put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Beech Grove. The Panthers blew past the Hornets 14-0. The contest marked the Panthers' most dominant win of the season.

Ethan Speer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Kyle Byram also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Jennings County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Jennings County and bumps their season record up to 9-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Beech Grove, they dropped their record down to 5-18 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Jennings County has already played their next match, a 4-3 defeat against Bedford North Lawrence on the 19th. As for Beech Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-5 loss against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial on the 20th.
