The Stratford Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of First Baptist School by a score of 64-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Stratford's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zanquel Baldwin, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nizhier Baldwin, who scored 14 points.
Stratford's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for First Baptist School, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Stratford will head out on the road to face off against Timberland at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Timberland is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for First Baptist School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cane Bay at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
