Trenton waltzed into their game on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Melvindale Cardinals get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. Considering the Trojans have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Brendan Wright looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Trenton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Rooney, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Rooney has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another was Carson Boike, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Trenton pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Melvindale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.

Looking ahead, Trenton will challenge Anderson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Melvindale, they will square off against Robichaud at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
