Baseball Recap: Skyline Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

While Skyline put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Shelley. The Grizzlies blew past the Russets 12-0. The Grizzlies have beaten the Russets the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Russets has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Izaak Hansen, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Jones, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Skyline was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .324 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Skyline's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.2 runs. As for Shelley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Skyline will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Russets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
