Last Wednesday, Cardinal O'Hara was the victim of a rough 78-54 defeat at the hands of Canisius. Cardinal O'Hara has struggled against Canisius recently, as their game on Wednesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Cardinal O'Hara saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kels Ivey, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The match was Ivey's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Johnson, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lancaster had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 57-49 victory over The Park School of Buffalo. That's two games straight that Lancaster has won by exactly eight points.
Cardinal O'Hara's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Lancaster, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Cardinal O'Hara came up short against Lancaster when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 54-48. Can Cardinal O'Hara avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
