The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Elbert County in their matchups with Madison County: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Elbert County still got an impressive performance from Grady Jones, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 0 assists. The match was Jones' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Boaz Goodman, who scored 13 points along with 6 assists.
Elbert County's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-7. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Madison County, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elbert County will be home for the holidays to greet Hart County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Madison County will take on Johnson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
