Naugatuck is 8-2 against the Raiders since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Naugatuck Greyhounds will head out on the road to face off against the Torrington Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Naugatuck strolled past the Red Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. The win was just what Naugatuck needed coming off of a 71-49 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Torrington didn't have too much trouble with the Chargers at home on Saturday as they won 74-57. The win made it back-to-back wins for Torrington.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Torrington to victory, but perhaps none more so than William Parkhouse, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 4 assists. Another player making a difference was Isaac Fenn, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds.
Naugatuck has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Torrington, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
Naugatuck came up short against the Raiders in their previous meeting back in January, falling 68-63. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Torrington's Luca White, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds.
