The West Ridge Wolves lost against the David Crockett Pioneers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. West Ridge received a tough blow as they fell 60-42 to David Crockett. While losing is never fun, West Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while David Crockett is ranked 16th).
David Crockett was led to victory by Aaliyah Story and Brylee Tullock. Story dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Tullock scored 21 points. The match was Tullock's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Kayleigh Doner was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for West Ridge and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for David Crockett, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
West Ridge will be home for the holidays to greet Tennessee at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for David Crockett, they will head out on the road to face off against Providence Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
