The Chazy Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Johnsburg Central Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Friday, Chazy made easy work of Boquet Valley and carried off a 15-1 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Zeke McLennan was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. McLennan was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Aiden Howell was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Jack Demers was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnsburg Central). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Indian Lake Central/Long Lake Central a 26-0 shutout on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
The team relied heavily on Aaden Sauer-Jones, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. He has become a key player for Johnsburg Central: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Sauer-Jones, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Johnsburg Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .512 or higher in three consecutive games.
Johnsburg Central's record is now 5-2. As for Chazy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Chazy suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Johnsburg Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
