Madyx Mitchell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up five earned runs off seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kailey Rivera was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Brynn MacWilliams also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Big Valley Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Bret Harte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Linden, falling 12-5.
Rylee Banks was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Mariah Colwell, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Bret Harte's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Big Valley Christian, their record now sits at 9-15.

It's a different story for Bret Harte, though, as they've only averaged .224. Will they be able to contain Big Valley Christian's hitters?
