Softball Recap: Gobles Beats Lawton for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Gobles came tearing into Wednesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Lawton Blue Devils get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Gobles let Daisy Jackson and Alana Gonzalez run wild. Jackson went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Gonzalez went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Gobles hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawton struck out six times.

Gobles' victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Lawton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gobles will venture away from home to take on Martin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lawton, they will head out to square off against Kellogg at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
