Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Cabarrus). They blew past the Lake Norman Charter Knights 74-44 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Lake Norman Charter still got an impressive performance from Reece Long, who went 8 of 16 en route to 25 points along with eight boards and three steals. Long's afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Abby Courtney was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven assists and three steals.

The win was the third in a row for West Cabarrus, bringing their record for this year to 8-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Lake Norman Charter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
