Baseball Recap: Box Elder's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak on the Road

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Box Elder ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Bonneville Lakers 5-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bees also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Maddox Earnest was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Easton Green, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Box Elder's win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17. As for Bonneville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Box Elder will have a chance to go back-to-back against Bonneville: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
