The Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 25-24 to Founders Classical Academy. Annapolis Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Founders Classical Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Founders Classical Academy was led to victory by Jade Reynolds and Maddie Herzog. Reynolds scored five points along with 11 rebounds and five steals, while Herzog scored four points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Reynolds is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Annapolis Christian Academy bumped their record down to 2-13 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.7 points per game. As for Founders Classical Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Annapolis Christian Academy will square off against Humble Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Founders Classical Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lifegate Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
