In what's become a running theme this season, the Summertown Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Lewis County 92-69. The win was just what Summertown needed coming off of a 73-53 loss in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Grayson Burleson, who almost dropped a double-double on 48 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Bennett, who scored 17 points along with five assists and two steals.
Summertown's win bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Lewis County, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summertown will take on Mt. Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Mt. Pleasant's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. As for Lewis County, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cornersville at 7:30 p.m. Lewis County is coming into the contest with seven straight losses at home, meaning Cornersville will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
