1A District 2 recap September 24, 2013
Bethlehem added to the longest winning streak in 1A District 2 this week by beating Trimble County, 60-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Eagles/Banshees.
Caverna and Clinton County played the most contested game in the league this week, with Caverna eventually emerging with a 20-19 victory. ANTHONY PHILLIPS threw for 103 yards and ran for 48 yards in the win.
Caverna's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Colonels feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. PHILLIPS has thrown for 894 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while TREVOR STEPHENS has 30 catches for 431 yards. PHILLIPS also leads the league in rushing with 65 yards.
Bethlehem led 1A District 2 in scoring this week by notching 60 points on the Raiders.
