It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Goochland Bulldogs can now relate to. They were the victim of a rough 20-0 loss at the hands of Thomas Jefferson on Friday. While losing is never fun, Goochland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Thomas Jefferson is ranked 72nd).
Thomas Jefferson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ty-keycee Parker led the charge by rushing for 88 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Rashaud Cherry also helped with two touchdowns in total.
This is the second loss in a row for Goochland and nudges their season record down to 3-8. As for Thomas Jefferson, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Goochland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Thomas Jefferson will be playing in front of their home fans against Armstrong at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Armstrong is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
