When it comes to explaining why St. Cloud lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Springs. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. The contest was Springs' ninth in a row with at least ten points. Diomar Ortiz was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
The victory got Monsignor McClancy back to even at 1-1. As for St. Cloud, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
