The Shiloh Christian Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They fell 56-43 to McDonald County. While losing is never fun, Shiloh Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 120th in Arkansas, while McDonald County is ranked 33rd in Missouri).
McDonald County was led to victory by Dakota O'brien and Carlie Martin. O'brien dropped a double-double on 10 points and 15 rebounds, while Martin almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists. The contest was Martin's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Roslynn Huston was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Shiloh Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for McDonald County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
Shiloh Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Berryville at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. As for McDonald County, they will head out on the road to face off against Webb City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
