Last Friday, McEwen was able to grind out a solid win over Perry County, taking the game 57-48.
Waverly Central can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-43 win over Dickson County. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Waverly Central's 23-point performance the matchup before.
McEwen now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Waverly Central, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2.
Everything came up roses for McEwen against Waverly Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 54-27 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for McEwen since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
