While Southmoore didn't have the best season last year (they finished 16-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Putnam City West Patriots on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the SaberCats, who have now won three contests in a row.

Southmoore's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Putnam City West, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southmoore will head out to challenge Enid at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Putnam City West, they will venture away from home to square off against Norman North at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Putnam City West is facing Norman North at the right time seeing as Norman North is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
