Hagerman is 1-9 against Richfield since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Hagerman Pirates will head out on the road to challenge the Richfield Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Hagerman suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 76-49 defeat at the hands of Camas County. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Hagerman has suffered against Camas County since January 7, 2020.
Despite the loss, Hagerman got a solid performance out of Ky Kendall, who scored 17 points along with three steals and three blocks. Kendall is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Johnson, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Hagerman struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Richfield's 23-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They suffered a rough 61-40 loss at the hands of Murtaugh two weeks ago. Richfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hagerman has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Richfield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
Hagerman ended up a good deal behind Richfield when the teams last played back in January of 2023, losing 53-38. Can Hagerman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
