Baseball Recap: Williamson Comes Up Short

Kameron Sanks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Williamson's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 3-7 when he doesn't). Jason Jeffereson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Williamson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Davidson, they moved to 7-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

The future could be bright for both Williamson and Davidson: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Williamson will try to hand Vigor their seventh-straight loss when the two meet at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Davidson will look to extend Mary G. Montgomery's three-game losing streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
