Azusa lost against Bell Gardens back in June, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Azusa Aztecs lost 63-40 to the Bell Gardens Lancers. The Aztecs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Several Aztecs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adam Sanchez, who posted ten points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luis Garrido, who had 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Azusa fell to 3-1. As for Bell Gardens, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Azusa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-37 victory against Rosemead on the 4th. As for Bell Gardens, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-45 defeat against California on the 3rd.
