Monahans entered their tilt with Presidio on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. It was close, but they capped 2024 with a 34-32 victory over the Presidio Blue Devils. That's more bragging rights for the Loboes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Monahans' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-12. As for Presidio, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monahans and Odessa will face off at 11:00 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Odessa will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Monahans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Presidio, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tornillo at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
