Boomer Hester Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Charlestown had to settle for second even though Boomer Hester put up the best numbers he has all season. Hester rushed for 288 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
Hester and Charlestown will challenge Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hester will face off against Adam Mull, the Lions' star quarterback. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Landon Shuck Goes Supernova in Scottsburg Victory
Landon Shuck was instrumental in extending Scottsburg's winning streak to five on Friday. Shuck turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 235 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per carry, and also picking up 40 receiving yards. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
Unfortunately for Mitchell, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Shuck. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Shuck saw the Bluejackets), he rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also caught a touchdown.

Another Game with at Least 150 Rushing Yards from Carson Lawyer
Carson Lawyer's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his fifth-straight game with 150+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.
The win (which was Corydon Central's third in a row) raised their record to 3-4. Lawyer and Corydon Central will head out on the road to challenge Providence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Waylon Doblado Makes It Two for Corydon Central
Keeping Lawyer company is Waylon Doblado, a fellow Corydon Central player. He made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended a pass. He's now once again averaging 100+ receiving yards (110.9) per game. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 75 yards.
On the season, Doblado has averaged 5.3 total tackles per game.

A Season-Best Performance from Adam Mull Leads Salem over Eastern
Salem was led to victory by Adam Mull, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mull rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023.
