The Diller-Odell Griffin can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They really took it to Falls City for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-27 victory at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-10.
Diller-Odell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Myleigh Weers, who scored 20 points. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Weers has scored at least a third of Diller-Odell's points. Another player making a difference was Keira Hennerberg, who scored 14 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Diller-Odell and bumps their season record up to 10-8. As for Falls City, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Diller-Odell will challenge Exeter-Milligan/Friend at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Falls City, they will be playing at home against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer on Thursday. Hopefully Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Friday.
