The L'Anse Creuse Lancers will challenge the Dakota Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Dakota took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on L'Anse Creuse, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with five defeats in a row, L'Anse Creuse turned things around against New Haven on Thursday. They blew past the Rockets 48-19.

L'Anse Creuse found their leader in sophomore Allison Tuladziecki, who shot 46% from the field en route to 16 points and five steals. The last time Tuladziecki's shooting accuracy was this high was back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Madison Schuck, who posted eight points and five boards.
L'Anse Creuse was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Dakota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-45 heartbreaker at the hands of Rochester. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Falcons are ranked 43rd).
L'Anse Creuse will need to focus on slowing down Meadow Cameron, one of several Dakota players who made an impact when they last played. She dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. Brooklyn Garavaglia was another key player, going 6-for-12 on her way to 16 points.
Dakota's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for L'Anse Creuse, their win bumped their record up to 6-16.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: L'Anse Creuse has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28 boards per game. However, it's not like Dakota struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
L'Anse Creuse took a serious blow against Dakota in their previous matchup back in January of 2016, falling 52-24. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point L'Anse Creuse was down 34-7.
