The Fort Ann Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 34-33 to North Warren Central. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Fort Ann of the 35-28 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Fort Ann's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Freebern, who scored two points along with nine rebounds and six blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrianna Sharrow, who scored ten points.
Fort Ann has not been sharp recently as the team has lost 11 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for North Warren Central, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.
Fort Ann does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Warren Central also has no future games currently scheduled.
